Our mandate

Health control at Points of Entry protects the population against the international spread of disease.

Four main activities are conducted:

Traveller surveillance, which consists in detecting suspected cases of epidemic-prone disease and referring them to a care facility.

International vaccination, in particular against yellow fever, and issuance of the corresponding certificate.

Public hygiène, through inspection of establishments located within Points of Entry and control of conveyances.

Veterinary and fishery control of live animals and products of animal origin, both on import and on export.
